Villa Hermina by HSH architecti
Petr Hajek, Tomas Hradecny and Jan Sepka created an uncommon house with “elephant skin”
Villa Hermina is situated on a sloping terrain on the outskirts of Černín, Czech republic, taking the same slope into its internals for floors. The interior layout is based on alternating straight and sloping floor surfaces that create the overall spiralling character of the interior and define the building’s external appearance.
However, the use of the sloping floor on the ground floor is not purposeless – it is there on investor´s reguest to accomodate movie projections as a small movie theatre. Each of the walls only has one opening. For thermal and water insulation a polyurethane spray with pink coat is used, which looks like “elephant skin”.

Имали сме и други подобни случаи,когато въниква спор на кого трябва да се приписва авторството след радялата
или напускането на един от партньорите в едно архитектурно бюро. Така беше с жилищната сграда на Бярке Ингелс и Жулиен де Смед(съответно новите им бюра - BIG и JDS), която публикувахме в брой 1 на Абитаре. Ние сме приели, че е коректно общите проекти да се цитират като работи на всички партньори, с уточнение за новите им бюра.

Dear ladies and gentlemen,
we really appreciate publishing of our new house at abitare.bg

same time we would like to point out there is a mistake. The author is not
Sepka architekti but HSH architekti. Although the partners of HSH architekti
have split recently, this project was done in cooperation of all 3 partners
and should be presented as a work by HSH architekti (for more see:
http://www.hsharchitekti.cz/index.php?lang=cs&page=project&name=vila-her...). The partners Petr Hajek, Tomas Hradecny and Jan Sepka have
established 3 new companies (for their respective website look at:

Presenting the project as the work of Sepka architekti is misleading and for
us very uncomfortable. We would like to ask you to change the
